Award Winning Bud
So proud of our Denver Native Roots growers and our Sour Tsunami flower, which took 2nd place in the famed Rooster Cup: THC Classic for 2018 CBD strain. The well-known competition evaluates flower and bud products from licensed dispensaries, grows and manufacturers across Colorado. The winners were announced at a kickoff party to begin the unofficial cannabis holiday month for 420.
The competition is a blind evaluation giving everyone an equal and fair assessment. It is always an honor to be recognized by our peers and colleagues in the cannabis industry. Flower is the foundation of all products and Native Roots is proud of the grow team creating such outstanding plants.
Sour Tsunami is a cross between Sour Diesel and New York City Diesel, producing a diesel-esque aroma, with some sweet undertones. This strain is known by consumers to treat pain and inflammation without causing a “high” effect.
For fans of terpene descriptions; Sour Tsunami has a terpene profile including, but not limited to, Terpinolene, Pinene, and Myrcene. For those still new to the concept, the old descriptions of a particular strain by the plant classifications of Indica, Sativa and Hybrid are being replaced with a focus on the effects of consumption rather than the structure of the plant. The terpene profile will tell a potential consumer of the product more about the anticipated experience. Though the announcement of the winners has come with the beginning of April, the particular flower judged for the Rooster Cup was evaluated in February. Native Roots main production facility, Bay 4 team is proudly responsible for the winning flower and lovingly tended by the plants with management by Tristan Goldberg, and Ron Dugo.
